City Property Glasgow (Investments) LLP is delighted to confirm that our agents Graham & Sibbald have recently concluded a letting of a site on Elmbank Street, formerly home to The High School of Glasgow.

The complex of predominantly A-listed buildings provides almost 100,000 sq ft of accommodation on a self-contained site of 2.28 acres, making it one of the largest development opportunities to come to the market in the city in recent years. The new tenant, independent hotel and leisure operator, Scotsman Hospitality have a proven track record of transforming listed buildings in locations all across Scotland and will be adding the Old High School to their successful portfolio.

We are pleased to confirm that Graham & Sibbald have concluded this letting on behalf of City Property Glasgow (Investments) LLP.

The deal is one of the most significant opportunities in Glasgow in recent years, with Scotsman Hospitality’s proposals to create a new exciting leisure and hospitality destination for the city centre, as well as a positive contribution to Glasgow’s economic growth. I’d like to thank the combined efforts of the teams at City Property, Graham & Sibbald, our legal advisors at Harper MacLeod and Scotsman Hospitality for their work on this deal.

Marc Canning, Head Of Investment (CPGI)

We are delighted to have concluded a letting of the former High School of Glasgow complex in the heart of the city; one of the largest development opportunities to come to the market in the city for a number of years.

The ingoing tenant, Scotsman Group have exciting plans to develop the site into a significant hotel, conferencing and leisure destination for the city and I am convinced that a fully redeveloped Old High School will be a great addition to their portfolio, and to Glasgow.

This was a complex deal that took time to get over the line and I would like to thank everyone involved for their perseverance and commitment to such a substantial deal for Glasgow.
